新西蘭39歲機(jī)械工程師威克斯(Paul Weeks)，搭乘馬來(lái)西亞航空失蹤客機(jī)MH370到北京，準(zhǔn)備轉(zhuǎn)往蒙古工作。
他出發(fā)前將婚戒和手錶交給太太，說(shuō)如發(fā)生了甚麼事，就把戒指給先結(jié)婚的兒子，豈料一語(yǔ)成讖，至今未能返家。
威克斯上機(jī)前取下婚戒和手錶交給妻子Danica 達(dá)妮卡，表示萬(wàn)一自己遭遇不測(cè)，就把戒環(huán)給先結(jié)婚的兒子當(dāng)禮物，手錶則給予後結(jié)婚的兒子，他原本預(yù)計(jì)1個(gè)月後返家。
達(dá)妮卡目前和家人住在澳洲珀斯，她接受訪問(wèn)啜泣表示不會(huì)放棄希望，期待丈夫走進(jìn)家門(mén)。威克斯是來(lái)自新西蘭的退役軍人，在基督城的家園遭地震摧毀後，和家人移居澳洲。
